You Don’t Say
I never feel an iota of stress during a photography session. The same can’t always be said by my subjects. I’ve done thousands of these and often it’s the subject’s first time in front of a pro camera. Sometimes their nerves lead to them saying things that they might not say in their normal life.
Here are some memorable examples :
-I know your detailed instructions said not to wear a hat, but I’m going to change your mind.
-If the shoot is going to last thirty minutes, how much time should I put on the parking meter?
-Which downtown are you talking about, the big one or the little one?
-Can you make the check out to my ex? It’s a long story.
-Some people tell me that I’m a bit of a handful.
-I have a severe latex allergy but I think we’ll be OK today.
-Crying comes naturally to me, just let me know when the time is right.
My favorite is the one I hear most often. It’s, “thanks Stephen, you made that so easy!”
