Despite decades of association with the advertising industry, I have been mercifully spared from the inner workings.
By the time I get involved with an ad campaign, it’s in the last phase. At that point, everything has been locked in and signed off.
Sometimes, I’m asked to execute suboptimal concepts which involve strange and unbelievable compromises.
On more than a few occasions, I have said to myself, “how did this get approved?” Keeping this conversation internal allows me to stay blissfully unaware so that I can focus on my work.
Today, when I saw this product called Wow Bang, I couldn’t help thinking of what went on behind the scenes when it came to approving the name.
