Words and Pictures

Some photographers feel that the best pictures need no words.

Some writers feel that words alone can tell a story.

My particular artistic output almost always combines words and pictures. The pictures are always mine but most of the time the words are created by someone else.

The end result is a story.

This picture has a story that has been told and many other stories that haven’t yet been told.

That’s because a picture is simultaneously fiction and non-fiction.

If you’re thinking that I’m lucky to be able to create works like that, you are exactly right.
