Without Even Asking

There’s a great feeling when finding the right place for a portrait.

It becomes better when the subject naturally fits into the scene. It’s not possible to quantify what makes a personalized setting other than to say I know it when I see it.

This location, not far from the navy base in San Diego, is a go-to place for me. There are a few buildings open to the public that really stand out.

The great thing about the location is that it can be different in ways that change with the light.

On this January day, I got everything I wanted without even asking.
