Winter, Vanquished
Winter has been vanquished, for now.
No more blizzards, snow showers, sleet, or other moisture from the sky. Coats won’t be necessary except in over-cooled restaurants. For the foreseeable future, the only ice I’ll see will be in drinks.
Even in a climate-controlled Boeing aluminum tube, the sight of winter is a buzzkill. Now I’ll have my gaze focused on green grass and waves of heat rising.
I intend to enjoy every minute of winter’s absence.
