Who’s Your Problem

Some words mean different things to different people.

Hoosier is a case in point.

If you’re from Indiana, a Hoosier is your fellow state resident. Folks from there refer to themselves and each other with that handle.

People two states to the west also use the word hoosier but in a way that paints a different picture.

This defunct drinking establishment in Wyoming seemed to welcome any hoosiers. While it’s true that most hoosiers love bars, it looks like too few of them have heard of Wyoming.

That is not an uncommon hoosier problem.
