Who Knew?

Who knew?

I knew. Her mother knew. Her grandparents knew. Nearly everyone else in her family knew.

Knew what? They knew that my daughter was destined for a career in the arts.

She’s been at a for a long time now with acting and writing while simultaneously building a network of like-minded collaborators.

When I saw her latest self-produced film, Parallel, it struck me as her best work ever. The folks at the Stockholm City Film Festival agree with me and have just awarded her “Best Actress” out of all entires for their festival.

There’s no word on when or if she’ll be able to meet up with the folks in Sweden. While it’s nice to get some good news, especially when it’s in such short supply, there’s a lot of work to do on her other pending projects.

There will be smiles and hugs today, but this Los Angeles artist will be back to work by the time you’re reading this entry.

That’s what careerists do.
