Walk or Ride

If your goal is to go higher, will you walk or ride?

Maybe a little of both?

Riding is the easiest way. That will allow you to reserve your energy for arrival.

Walking, or even running, cuts the duration in half or more. You might not be rested at the top, but there’s more time for whatever you wanted to do there.

There’s no wrong answer. However, I think one is better than the other.
