Unexpected Find

There’s always the hope that a hidden gem is waiting inside of the gallery. The reality is that masterpieces are few and far between. That doesn’t mean every visit is for naught. Seeing interesting work is very satisfying and sometimes inspiring.

Offbeat and unusual works count for a lot too.

When I find myself in front of a gallery specializing in photography, I feel that it’s my duty to go in.

This one in Wyoming was no exception. The gallery had some stellar wildlife and landscape photography captured in the American West.

For me, the best find was the docent. She and I had a great conversation that turned into a portrait session right in the gallery.

It was exactly the kind of unexpected find that I needed.
