Undulation Appreciation
Photographing a static object like a skyscraper and making it look alive is a tall order. The tallest buildings known to man, when photographed by an expert, can be made to look like a living part of the environment.
Nobody does this better than Tim Griffith. At least that’s the consensus of the best architectural firms in the world.
I have channeled my inner Tim on many occasions only to come up with results that fall miserably short. There have been a few times in which what I’ve learned from him can be implemented in non-architectural situations. An example is when I photographed this beautiful plant with the intended goal of finding the formality within the natural structure.
That’s a long-winded way to say that this little doodle with my camera was more deliberate than you might think.
