Two Worlds at Once

Elon Musk says we are probably living in a simulation.

If you’ve ever seen someone walk into something refective like a big glass door or window that might be an unintended proof of his theory.

I’m not sure about the simulation thing but I love using visual elements that can be simultaneously transparent and reflective. This allows me to distort reality even more than I can with my camera by itself.

Using this technique is like standing in two worlds at once.

The essence of a portrait is the physical transfer of a three-dimensional person into a two-dimensional representation.

The further manipulation of reality for the purpose of art is just icing on the cake.
