Two in Tucson
Over the years my work has taken me to all 50 US states and 23 countries. Along the way, I’ve had dozens of trips to Arizona for a variety of projects. Most of these took place in Phoenix. The best one was in Sedona and the most memorable one was in Flagstaff.
But never in Tucson.
About 20 years ago, I convinced a client to do a location scout with me in Tucson. The location was a dud but the Davis-Monthan aircraft boneyard tour was worth the drive from Phoenix.
Then all of a sudden, 2019 was the year of Tucson for me.
Two different projects in nine months came my way. Those two trips have familiarized me with this desert city in a way that has me working hard to get back.
This portrait was the best shot of either project and a welcome addition to my portfolio.
