Treading Trodden Trails

As of today, I have about 1200 self-produced stock sessions under my belt. By the end of January, I will have increased the number by a little more. That’s how I got from zero to more than a thousand. Inch by inch, brick by brick and session by session.

Next week I’ll be in central Florida doing the actual work that I’ve been preparing for over the last few days. Location scouting, casting, travel booking are the tedious tasks that need to be done before the joy of creation can begin.

I like to get all of the production details settled in advance so that once I’m on the ground I can just think about the photographs.

My goal is to always get something new. It helps to have a starting point based on familiarity. That means I pick up where I left off from the last time.

As Dave Matthews might say, “treading trodden trails.” In this case, I’ll be following my own footsteps of previous sessions.
