Is this store really awesome?
I’m skeptical of signs and signals like this one.
However, with Walmart just a mile away and Amazon in everyone’s back pocket, just staying in business is awesome.
Shopping locally is harder than it looks, especially if you want something specific.
The retail business puts you in proximity to a tough crowd. Relentless competition and fickle consumers mean that every venture has long odds of success.
I don’t play favorites, but I do try to buy less of everything. That marks me as quite the mediocre consumer.
I’m sure there’s a sign I can buy somewhere that says, “occasional shopper, but still awesome.”
