There’s no shortage of pubs in London with memorable names. I’m particularly fond of places that combined disparate things.
I’m pretty sure that my life would be enhanced if I could be a regular at the following hostelries:
Boot and Flogger The Camel & Artichoke The Mad Bishop & Bear
I wasn’t sure if there was a place called the Lion & Lamb but a quick search said yes, there is.
Thinking about this very cold London portrait session in a long-ago March reminded me of an old saying. “In like a lion, out like a lamb.”
It pertains to the beginning of March when the harsh winter weather roars in. By the end of the month, the mild spring weather takes hold.
The day was March 5th and the weather at Lincoln’s Inn Fields was true to the adage.
