The Known Universe
If you think that only astronomers and physicists contemplate the boundaries of the universe, think again.
There are two unlikely categories of people who constantly deal with the topic of infinite space. They are commercial artists and the grifters who compose and execute their service contracts on behalf of ad agencies.
About a decade ago, I started receiving confiscatory contracts that attempted to appropriate my intellectual property rights. The scope of the con wasn’t limited to the US of A. Instead, the contracts purported to cover “the known universe” when dealing with rights transfers.
Because I live in the real world, I realize that it’s their job to ask for everything. It’s also my job to say no to irrational requests.
