The Idaho Effect

Is it true that everyone is taller in Idaho?

My shadow certainly was during my time in a small town called Salmon. Until I visited there in September, I had never heard of the place.

After two days of city life in Boise, I was ready for the next phase of my Idaho experience which involved a lot of windshield time to make my way to Missoula, Montana.

Salmon, Idaho was the halfway point and a logical overnight spot.

My rented apartment was outside of town with a great view of the hills and an abundance of quiet that I hadn’t experienced in a long time.

The effect on my senses was profound. The warmth of summer and the directional light was just what I needed.
