For active folks, racking up ten thousand steps a day isn’t such a big deal.
At that pace, 3 million steps in a year is easily attainable. The real payoff isn’t a merit badge or pip for your sleeve but enhanced health.
I find that I feel great after every one of my multiple daily walks. I have a sense of accomplishment that I can’t get in front of a screen.
The best part is seeing new things in unfamiliar places and also watching how things change over time in my regular haunts.
Just make sure that the scenery doesn’t blind you to the occasional hazard. This elevated bead of caulk in St. Charles, Missouri woke me up the other day. Fortunately, no damage was inflicted.
