That was a pre-production question pertaining to my subject’s wardrobe for a St. Pete Beach, Florida session.
“I’m fine with salmon as long as I don’t have to eat it,” was my response. Fish isn’t my dish and salmon triggers memories of Lenten suffering but the color itself is perfectly fine.
Most subjects are conscientious about providing wardrobe options. This is admirable and I let them do it without restrictions. However, I’m rarely interested in anything a subject brings unless what they’re wearing is really awful. That almost never happens.
Expression and personality are what I’m looking for when the camera comes out, not color swatches.
In the end, that’s what matters most.
