Sunny in Seattle
Over the years, I’ve had eight gigs in Seattle. Six of those had perfect weather. Not relatively perfect, as in not raining. I mean the kind of day you write about in your diary. I’m told that this lucky run is nearly unprecedented.
The best experience was last week. It was a perfect August day with clear skies and blazing sun. The day had the kind of light that’s ideal for creating contrasty photographs. I’m happy to say that I didn’t waste the opportunity.
A funny thing happens in this city on these stellar days. You start hearing contra-marketing messages from the locals.
The refrain is the same…
“The weather is never like this.”
“Please don’t move here.”
