This big city on Lake Michigan might have been a destination for me today or any day during the last couple of months.
That’s because Chicago is a place where I can always be found in the summer.
I like to save up time and money so that I can create portraits on the sidewalks and streets in July and August with weather that’s unbeatable.
Flying in is my preferred method. A cheap ticket on Southwest is often a better deal than the 500-mile round trip drive especially when you consider the cost to park at a downtown hotel for a couple of nights.
The trip into the city from Midway Airport on the Orange Line train is another part of the adventure that I enjoy.
Now that my travel frequency to Chicago has flipped from frequent to seldom, I’m stuck with my memories. Hopefully, it won’t be long before some new experiences and photographs are on tap.
