Behold, one of the greatest inventions of all time.
University City, Missouri is where a lot of things started for me.
My only full-time job was as Washington University, part of which lies in this city. To give a hint at how long ago that was, Ronald Reagan was president.
I started dating my future wife while working there. She had all of her classes in the worst building on campus. The photo studio where I worked was in the basement of the second-worst building on campus.
When we got married in 1990, we had the ceremony in Washington University’s Graham Chapel. That happens to be the best building which kind of averages things out.
We bought our first house in University City in 1996. To magnify our big adult milestone, we moved in on April 15. In time, both of our children came to call this house their first home.
I’m very familiar with the main thoroughfares as well as the side streets of U-City. That’s why when it’s time for some photography, this town is always an excellent starting point.
