SoHo Summer

It’s only a matter of time before July arrives.

When it does, I want to be in SoHo with my camera. I don’t mind the crowds or the heat. As they say in tech, “it’s a feature, not a bug.”

Sunsets that take place long past rush hour are what I’m seeking.

That’s when the shadows are cool and the sunlight is warm.

This session, from a few years ago, started as most do. We met near a Starbucks and started walking westward toward the directional light.

One camera, one lens, and one light was the totality of my kit. That’s all that’s needed when the location and subject are just right.

If things work out, just maybe I’ll be able to do this again in a couple of months.
