To a certain kind of person, the safe or established way holds no interest or is simply unappealing. Of course, there’s safety in following the crowd. But with that safety, one will be bound by limits, restrictions, and customs.
From the outside, it might look daunting. I can tell you from experience that it often is but the cost is worth the price.
