Sin City to Bethlehem

There’s nothing like a journey that connects some unlikely dots.

While the city may be dedicated to excess, the population of Las Vegas is no different than any other place. A more accurate name would be “Fun City” or “City of Interesting People.”

I started my day there with a dosa for breakfast at a fantastic Indian restaurant. The place is tucked away on a “sidestreet” of the real-life simulation of Venice.

After transiting a relatively empty airport I made for home on my favorite airline with a first-class meal from Pei Wei.

But not without a strange intermediate stop in Wichita. Anyone who thinks we don’t have enough elbow room needs to make their way to Kansas.

From there it was home with just enough time to drop my bags and head for a late Italian dinner. After dessert and coffee, we piled into the car for the last destination of the day at the Episcopal Cathedral.

Crossing half a continent, eating cuisine from various countries and being surrounded by family made for a perfect Christmas experience.
