Don’t ask me if I have a favorite artist. There are too many people, both living and dead, who have influenced my work.
You can include Banksy in that group.
That artist’s works are more than enough. However, the intentional anonymity of the person behind the art is remarkable.
While walking around in St. Charles, I thought I might have happened upon a Banksy original. As I got closer, I realized that it was Mother Nature’s homage instead. This sidewalk art, like a Banksy original, isn’t going to last forever.
Knowing I was part of a select audience deepened the experience.
