Most of my hired work involves photographing people in their workplace.
As you might imagine, these workplaces are on quite a diverse spectrum ranging from knowledge workers to licensed professionals to men and women who turn parts and pieces into finished things.
I don’t play favorites but I do have an affinity for manufacturing environments. These always present the greatest challenge to my art and craft.
Maybe it’s because the average person can’t come into a factory and snap a photo with their phone and get great results. Maybe it’s just that I find these places to be utterly fascinating.
It’s probably some of both.
This session took place not too far from my home base in St. Louis. I can’t wait until I can go back.
