Shared Space in Seoul
In a big city, space is at a premium and you have to share. Seoul is no exception.
On my session with Monique, we shared the sidewalk with a number of passing scooters, about 300 pedestrians, and black stretch Hyundai Genesis. This all took place in about six minutes.
This part of Gangnam is called Garosu-gil which is busy and vibrant. Even among all the activity, we were able to stake enough room to work. As it turned out, the multitudes turned out to be a pretty nice addition to the look of the portrait.
As obvious foreigners, we were a bit of a novelty too. This wasn’t a negative at all as it allowed us to make a few friends along the way.
