School’s Out
Today was the last day of school where I live in St. Louis.
All I can say is thank goodness. I’m not a fan of June classes even though a mid-August start is worse.
Timing the escape from conformity to a holiday weekend is doubly nice.
I don’t think any kid will be sorry to see this past semester fade into history. Certainly, the parents won’t either.

This portrait was taken a few years ago in Honolulu. It’s quite a distance from where I am now. The news there is pretty good because today is the last day of school in Hawaii. Rejoice!
