Samuel Clemens was raised in the same latitude as me. This means we have both experienced the feeling of a cold winter and a hot summer.
There’s a famous quote attributed to him about the weather in a particular California city.
“The coldest winter I ever saw was the summer I spent in San Francisco.”
There’s a lot of truth in that generalization. I know better than to assume that any day in summer near the Golden Gate will be sleeveless. There’s rarely much skin on display in that land of year-round fleeces and leather jackets.
I find this to be quite an irony for such a free-wheeling city.
Regardless of the climate, I’ll never turn down an opportunity for a visit to San Francisco.
My preference is to be there in the summer, their winter, when things back home are broiling. This session fell into that category.
