Rooted

Being rooted to a place means different things to different people.

Some appreciate the deep connection. Others can’t stop trying to disconnect.

I’m as conflicted as anyone about this kind of anchorning.

When I pull into my street, the first thing I notice is my towering oak. It overshdows everything around and is the definition of permanance.

Barring a catastrophe, that tree will never leave.

Time will tell if I can.
