Put A Pin In It

Here’s what I’ve learned doing too many zoom calls in the last three months.

People love jargon. The more nonsensical, the better.

Most of the time, I can keep up. However, some words always catch me off guard. The one that always confuses me is “optics” which never means what I think it should.

“Let’s put a pin in it” is phrase that’s especially odd. Is that like popping a ballon or preventing a hand grenade from exploding?

Maybe it’s both.

While waiting for a lunch table in St. Charles, I noticed a real pin lying on the sidewalk.

Was something ruined or saved? It’s hard to know. Maybe we should jump on a call to discuss.
