Is this the longest of long-shots?
Even in the pre-internet world, the chance of getting a business opportunity from a community bulletin board was unlikely.
Back then, the phone book was the Google of the day.
Sure, there’s no downside to pinning up a card. The printing is already accounted for and there’s probably a ready thumbtack to pin it.
Only a hopeless dreamer would think that this is a good idea.
I know this from my own experience. Not posting on noticeboards but mailing samples of my work in quantities that approach seven figures.
I got lucky many times. It’s a good reminder that you can’t win if you don’t play.
