Never in the history of the world has there been a better time for confirmation of one’s own self-delusion. Any thought, feeling or theory can instantly be “verified” as true with just a couple of keystrokes.
Google will dish up countless sources that will agree with someone who believes the planet we inhabit looks more like an M.C. Escher drawing instead of a sphere. Facebook will help that same person find a tribe of like-minded souls for deeper connection and fellowship.
Everyone is entitled to think and believe what they want. Though if you want to persuade a skeptic, it’s best to employ some intellectual rigor. That means write it down, sketch it out and show your work.
Maybe you might be on to something.
