It’s a dry heat, or so they say about the California desert. 120F in the shade might be devoid of humidity but after just a few minutes, the cool dirt six feet below street level starts sounding good.
Just a few days ago, Palm Springs, was hotter than usual. Even the oases were too hot for relief.
The good news is that if you don’t mind the heat, the cost to hang out in this strange and wonderful place is cheap at the moment.
I’m a fan of this other desert city. However, I have never been there outside of the mild season, though I’ve experienced an occasional 100F day.
Even after dozens of photo sessions, including this one, I don’t feel any sense of repetition. Just a low-level feeling that I need to get back sometime soon.
