Like most commercial artists I have office tasks that are as mind-numbing as they are important.
My two most important daily tasks are website updates and accounting. Both are so boring that I’ll avoid doing them without a personal incentive. For these two drudgeries, I won’t allow myself to have coffee until they’re vanquished. Unsurprisingly, I have systemized these annoyances so that I can complete both in five minutes.
Other tasks that pertain to my craft don’t require self-tricking to get done. Some of which I save up to work on during flights and other travel.
Doing my digital processing or revisiting old files for updating is real work that I don’t mind doing.
This kind of work is even easier when the outside view looks like this.
