Out and Back

A habit of mine is to avoid duplicating my travels when I go somewhere. For example, when I ramble to Trader Joe’s, I won’t drive home on the same streets that I used to get there.

As the sole owner of my time, I don’t mind spending a few extra minutes behind the wheel if I can experience twice as much “life” through the windshield.

How else am I supposed to find great places for street portraits?

If you search Google Maps, I promise you that you’d never find this “unhidden” location just a mile from my home in Missouri. Until the time that big retaining walls behind suburban multiplex cinemas show up on Street View, you’ll just have to ask me where to find offbeat places made for photography.
