One location, one million options

Is it hyperbole to say that in Bryant Park there are one million options for taking a photograph?

Let’s do the math.

If you arbitrarily create 1000 options and then put them in a pile, you’d need 999 more option piles with the same 1000 options. I’d say that in my favorite Manhattan park, I could easily hit a million options.

To be perfectly serious, there really are no limits in Bryant Park as long as you have a great subject like this one that I captured a couple of summers ago.

Not only was our session a success, but I was treated to another first-person immigrant success story. She is from Italy and has brought all of her life experiences with her to share with her fellow New Yorkers and with people like me. She’s also married to another Italian immigrant who I’m told makes the best pizza in Brooklyn.

Time will tell if I ever capture one million options in Bryant Park. One thing is for sure, I’ll never stop trying.
