Oklahoma Assembly

My street portrait method is designed to work anywhere. The basic ingredients are the same and I’ve applied the process in nearly every US state and multiple countries.

A big metropolis will tend to offer a wider variety of options with regard to locations and looks. Smaller cities are not without their advantages. It’s a big plus when the streets and sidewalks are thinly populated.

Oklahoma City is a happy medium. There are plenty of places to work that are visually compelling. The best sessions I’ve had there are in the Uptown area of the city.

The Paseo, an arts district, is by far my favorite. There’s something about the architecture that makes the work of visually assembling subject and background in the camera a snap.
