Married Up

Nobody needs to have a happy union to find satisfaction in life or in a career, but it sure is easier with than without.

The outcome of my adulthood proves it.

Love is the fuel of a marriage. If you’re lucky like me, you’ll have a machine that accepts that high octane gas. Just don’t forget about the maintenance that’s required. Mine has aged well and has an impressive patina that makes it look better than the day I got it in 1990.

While today is a calendar milestone, the real celebration happens in unscheduled moments and in times when there’s someone there to help carry the load. This is better than waiting for a particular day and time.

By the way, if you know what the phrase “married up” means, let me say that it applies to me.
