Looking Weird

At the unholy hour of 05:45 this morning, while barely awake, I created this little folly with my phone. It took place at the car park near the airport and it involved me getting down on one knee on the wet pavement while the shuttle bus closed in to pick me up.

I think my 34-second time investment paid off. The incredulity of the driver was his business and of no concern to me.

Did I look weird? Certainly no weirder than when I photographed my foot in the exit row, the tray table in front of me, the cumulous clouds out the window, or when I photographed the white-feathered crane in front of my hotel.

Those were all individual art projects that I couldn’t pass up.

I’m not sure what one is supposed to look like when creating art but if it means someone thinks I look weird, then so be it.

It’s a small price to pay.
