London Dial Up

One of my favorite places in London is Seven Dials. It’s the spot in the West End where seven streets meet. It’s also a great place for a photo session, which I first discovered at the age of 16.

I first became acquainted with the neighborhood in 1982 while on a school trip. I was part of a group of 20 young bumpkins let off the leash. Our elderly chaperone told us we could go anywhere we wanted except the West End. The reverse psychology worked as intended.

The irregular maze-like shape of the streets captured my fancy more than anything. I inherently knew that I’d be back again and again to ply my art and craft.

I was exactly right, though possibly underestimating the frequency of my return visits.

This session was from my twelfth visit. Hopefully, I’ll be back again soon.
