Trail Studio: Livingston, Montana

Working on a sidewalk within the hustle and bustle of the big city is my natural habitat.

But I’m also at ease with working in the relative stillness and solitude of the American West. Each of these environments has things that the other one doesn’t have, with one exception.

The exception is the always-compelling subject in front of my camera. Both places have that in common.

It’s true that one can find horses without much effort in the biggest cities, but finding a young horseman named Maverick is much harder in the 212 or 312 area codes than it is in Livingston, Montana.
