Literary Tradition

I still can’t believe it took me all these years to make my way to Oxford. Despite having dozens of Mississippi visits, this place eluded me.

My hopes of experiencing the literary traditions of the place were realized when I parked my car on the square.

The first thing I saw was the Faulkner statue. From there I walked a circuit of the downtown area. I stopped in an art gallery and checked out a farm-to-table restaurant.

My thoughts of John Grisham were front and center. I imagined how this place inspired so many scenes in his books.

This decorative pile of books in a boutique window caught my eye as I made my way to the car.
