Last Day of Summer
Where I live, the seasons and the calendar are mostly aligned. The thermometer says summer, but life now is squarely autumn.
The community pools just closed, school busses clog the roads, and the last long weekend just wrapped.
With Labor Day in the rearview mirror, it’ll be another nine months before my favorite season returns.
Going back to work, or whatever that means now, is what everyone seems to be doing. Thankfully, my job of chasing light can happen any time.
