When you hear the phrase “knowledge work” it’s normal to think about someone working in an office.

Expertise with the intricacies of TPS reports and cover sheets are typical in this temperature-controlled environment.

Farming is usually thought of as just labor. This is only partially correct. Physical exertion is indeed a big part of the equation. However, it couldn’t be done without extensive knowledge that is hard-earned.

This Illinois farmer has mastery of hydrology, meteorology, biology, economics, and implement mechanics just to name a few.

That’s way more impressive than someone who can easily clear a printer jam.
