It’s all in the Ask

“Hello, this model and I would like to use your facilities for a commercial stock photography photo session right now.”

That was the request that I had for the person working at the front desk of the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Little Rock.

Right before I was about to ask, I decided to soften it a bit.

“Hello, I was going to take a few pictures of this nice lady but as you can see, the pouring rain has ruined our options. May I use that spot near the window for a few snaps?”

The response from the desk clerk was swift.

“Well, I guess so. But if I were you, I’d go upstairs to the mezzanine. It has floor-to-ceiling windows and it’s completely empty until noon.”

That turned out to be better than I could have imagined.

I guess it’s all in the ask.
