Artist to Artist: Inti St. Clair
You’d think that a couple of photographers who live in the same town would cross paths in a predictable place such as a gallery or maybe a cafe frequented by the beret-wearing set.
That’s not the case with me and Inti St. Clair. We met at the weekly meetup of local innovators and entrepreneurs. A mutual friend at the meetup connected us. In short order, we were swapping stories and anecdotes about the crazy life of getting paid to take photographs.
While Inti and I work in similar segments, our styles and approaches are quite different. We ended up running out of time at our first meeting so we picked it up again a few days later in a place that’s part of her natural habitat which revolves around the creation and appreciation of cuisine. The place is a great restaurant in St. Louis and also a great place to shoot a portrait.
A memorable lunch with a compelling artist with time left over for a quick portrait. That’s my prescription for a perfect day.
