Angles and intersecting lines are what I look for first when I start a session.
This one with kinetic sculptor D’Arcy Bellamy in Boise had quite a few. They exist inside his studio and also on the surrounding grounds.
A lot of other angles had to intersect before I even arrived. Specifically, finding him and getting him to agree to a session. That’s the hardest part of my documentary project.
The creation of pictures like this one seems effortless to me. Probably because it’s pure joy.
