Where’s the washroom, eh?

Thanks to my extensive travels and frequent social interactions with some fine Canadians, I understand that question.

It means…well, you know.

In America, we have “restrooms” that rarely involve resting.

Canadians call the same places “washrooms” even though washing is just the closing ceremony to the main event.

Yes, it’s confusing. Except when you’re in a bilingual cafe that treats their customers to some clarity.
